Lumen is an education community. Our mission is Educating Hearts and Minds. To provide enrichment courses, serve our community and support homeschool families.
Educating Hearts
We guide and inspire our kids to let their light shine by serving others. One of the ways we do this is by partnering with local organizations that support families in need.
Educating Minds
At Lumen, our classes are fun, engaging, and hands-on, giving kids the chance to learn and explore alongside friends. Lumen electives are a wonderful addition to your homeschool journey, making learning exciting, social, and memorable.
FALL 2026 ELECTIVES
STEM (K-5th)
This class takes kids on a journey of innovation, exploring science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on challenges, creative problem-solving, and interactive projects.
Creative Corner (K–2)
In this fun, hands-on class, K–2 students will explore painting, crafts, and creative art projects that inspire imagination and self-expression.
Performing Arts (all grades)
Throughout the semester, students will rehearse festive songs, develop stage presence, and work together to prepare a joyful Christmas performance for family and friends in December.
Financial Literacy (middle school)
Students will learn practical money management skills through lessons on budgeting, saving, spending wisely, and entrepreneurship. In the fall, students will apply what they've learned by creating products, managing a budget, and participating in a Homemaker Market, where they can put their business skills to the test in a real-world setting.
Extracurricular Clubs- $20/CLASS
STEM Enrichment
We offer hands-on LEGO® Engineering for preschool and elementary students—no screens involved! Older students in 1st through 6th grade can dive into the world of Coding, building logic and problem-solving skills through fun, age-appropriate challenges.
PreK-6th
Spanish
Spanish for Elementary students aims to teach Spanish in a fun, dynamic way. The curriculum uses music, crafts, and games to engage children while practicing vocabulary, phrases, pronunciation, and comprehension.
K-2nd & 3rd-5th
Once Upon a Craft
A variety of fun hands-on activities designed to spark imagination and support development ranging from arts and crafts, movement and music, to creative DIY projects - all thoughtfully connected to an engaging storytelling experience.
